Guidng urban girls to bold and bright futures
In 2004, Cheryl founded The Evoluer House, which has helped change the outlook of teen girls of color who are experiencing unique social and emotional challenges, and barriers to success. The Evoluer House, an innovative and dynamic, nonprofit organization, delivers empowerment programs that help girls aged 13 to 18 to envision a future devoid of disadvantages and filled with possibilities. We are on a mission to equip them with the tools they need to become college-bound and career-ready, thus breaking the cycle of inter-generational poverty. To date, over 2,200 girls have graduated from our award-winning programs. One hundred percent of those graduates have gone on to attend four-year colleges or other institutes of higher learning.
